Warehouse Manager (Manufacturing exp. req.) Description Our client in the food distribution industry is looking for a Warehouse Manager to add to their team in San Pedro, CA. Reporting to the President, you will manage a team responsible for the daily shipping, receiving, handling and storage of goods. The desired candidate will have the ability to establish and manage KPIs across the entire warehouse operation, including safety, quality, and productivity. To be successful in this role, you must have at least three years of warehouse management experience with cargo, freight, and/or container shipping and receiving responsibilities, and a strong knowledge of inventory regulation. Responsibilities • Track and record daily inventory • Manage in-house and external warehouse facility locations • Oversee all inbound and outbound shipping documents and receipts • Reconcile inventory counts with data storage system • Schedule freight logistics to optimize plant efficiencies • Assign warehouse team members to shipping/receiving operations • Analyze cost effectiveness of transportation of products or supplies • Develop and manage logistics KPIs • Establish safety protocols for all warehouse operations • Mentor and develop warehouse team • Report all accident investigations and hazards to management
Warehouse Manager (Manufacturing exp. req.) Qualifications • 3+ years of warehouse management experience required • Cargo, freight, and/or container shipping and receiving experience required • English and Spanish written and verbal fluency preferred • Food distribution industry experience preferred • Experience with freezers a plus • Must be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. • HACCP certification a plus • OSHA certification a plus
