Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a Senior Cost Accountant to join their team in Alameda County, CA. Reporting to the Vice President of Finance & Accounting, you will be responsible for maintaining a high degree of strategic insight into R&D projects, manufacturing, operational costs, product pricing, and product line profitability. Working closely with the head of manufacturing, you will employ and sustain an ERP system consistent with the cost management abilities of the organization. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of five years of manufacturing and project cost accounting experience. This is a new role that was created to better understand production and our client is looking for someone who will come in and tell them what needs to be done and improved upon. A background of driving these initiatives and not only being a supporter of them is a must. To thrive in this role, you must take ownership over outcomes and are comfortable owning some of their most important public facing information.
