Our client is looking for a Junior Controls Engineer to add to their team near Calgary, Alberta. This is a terrific opportunity to join an established, family-oriented company. You will be responsible for the specification, installation and modification of integrated systems for their various customers. You will also create customer simulations, show the startup sequence of the equipment/ the functionality of the devices and provide technical support. To thrive in this role, you must be a creative problem-solver with solid programming skills and the ability to work well with others. Junior Controls Engineer Responsibilities • Evaluate and design components and automation strategies for equipment and processes • Improve efficiency, product quality, and performance • Perform programming of control devices including PLCs and HMIs • Conduct simulations to review and test the functionality of the programming • Participate in troubleshooting and resolving equipment, systems, and process problems • Communicate and interact with various levels of personnel to accomplish goals • Perform other tasks and activities as needed
