Junior Buyer Location: Woburn, MA Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 + Benefits Job Type: Full-Time Start Date: ASAP Sponsorship not available for this role Junior Buyer Description Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a Junior Buyer to add to their team in Woburn, MA. In this role, you will handle all activities encompassed within the life of a purchase order, from negotiating pricing to receipt of product. To be successful, you must have great attention to detail. Junior Buyer Responsibilities • Assist in maintaining relationships with suppliers • Handle open orders and quotes • Process quotes in a timely manner • Place purchase orders • Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors • Communicate all requirements needed in the quote process and purchase order process • Expedite orders • Work with vendors to get products when needed • Utilize all resources to ensure all products are purchased in timely manner • Ensure a steady flow of materials • Support ongoing cost reduction efforts, obtaining the best possible value where possible • Authorize and schedule deliveries Junior Buyer Qualifications • 1+ years of purchasing experience required • Manufacturing industry experience a plus • Working knowledge of Bills of Materials required • MRP experience a plus • Excel experience required • Must be computer savvy
