Controls Engineer (PLC & HMI exp. req.) Description Our client, a project-based automation company, is looking for an innovative Controls Engineer to join their team just outside of Fort Wayne, IN. Reporting to their General Manager, you will be responsible for providing PLC and HMI programming, debugging, and commissioning. Whether you have a few years of experience after pursuing technical certification/education or had many years of on-the-job training in lieu of a formal degree, our client is looking for someone with a strong automation background who would be excited to work on different types of projects. Description • Setup, configure, and de-bug automation systems • Review schematics with customers and provide guidance • Communicate cross-functionally to ensure solutions meet project deliverables • Write and edit software code for machines and systems • Support manufacturing during building and test phases • Document, test, and provide overall maintenance support • Ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements • Complete continued education in electrical design for automation equipment • Travel to clients to provide machine installation and troubleshooting Controls Engineer (PLC & HMI exp. req.) Description • 3+ years of experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs and HMIs • Experienced with robotic programming required • Ability to travel up to 20% domestically including some overnights required
