Our client in the wholesale food service industry is looking for a process-oriented Buyer to add to their team in Lodi, New Jersey. This hybrid role requires three days in the office per week, with the option to work the balance of the week remotely. You will develop and improve the global sourcing strategy for your assigned product category (kitchen products, ex: tabletop, dinner wear, drink wear). The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with international suppliers across multiple factories, managing a high SKU count, plus experience sourcing finished goods (made of plastic, metal, porcelain and/or melamine) to meet customer needs. To be successful in this role, you must have a strong business acumen, be proactive, have strong negotiation skills, and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
