This was a remote technical sales hire covering Indiana, Michigan, and Northwest Ohio—a role that requires both legitimate electrical systems knowledge and the ability to move product through distributors and specifiers in a fragmented territory. The difficulty was that most candidates with real electrical chops aren't naturally wired for consultative outside sales, and most sales reps with territory experience don't have the technical grounding to read specs or educate engineers.
