Our client is the SaaS industry is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team in Austin, TX. Reporting to the Controller, you will support all facets of their accounting operations, including the monthly close cycle, A/P, A/R, management reporting, and forecasting. To be chosen for this role, you must have at least four years of accounting experience with broad exposure to a variety of initiatives. Beyond the bullets below, our client is looking for a team member who has the forethought to always be thinking of the big picture. Not only the specific report you are working on but more importantly, how it relates to everything else. To thrive in this role, you must be comfortable working with a lot of data. They have an extensive amount of inventory sales, so you’ll be working through spreadsheets with tens of thousands of data and 50+ columns. Our client thinks micromanaging is lame. [Remote] Senior Accountant Responsibilities • Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations • Assist with month closing including revenue recognition, inventory, expenses, etc. • Support annual and quarterly audits • Enter vendor bills and prepare weekly cash disbursement report • Prepare workpapers for sales tax returns • Enter customer invoices in accordance with contract terms and billing schedules • Prepare monthly sales commission reports and weekly inventory sales analysis • Forecast revenues from available-for-sale inventory by contract type • Reconcile data between point-of-sale systems, marketplaces, and internal databases • Assist with software implementation
