This position offers the flexibility of working from home a few days a week. In this role, you will design and build the next set of equipment solutions using SolidWorks. Our client is looking for someone educated in the biotech industry with experience in mechanical design and analysis. To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of a B.S. Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Science Engineering and at least 3 years of experience using SolidWorks or similar CAD software. [Hybrid] Medical Device Manufacturing Design Engineer Responsibilities: ● Lead the design and development of new product releases using SolidWorks ● Interpret product requirements into system and sub-system design solutions ● Apply working knowledge of heat transfer, fluid management & instrument design ● Optimize system components for performance, reliability, and cost ● Assemble, test, and troubleshoot system and sub systems ● Perform hardware engineering verification ● Create solutions that work favorably with injection-molded goods in product offerings ● Oversee technical deliverables ● Apply best practices of design and test ● Clearly and objectively communicating with project members, peers, and leadership. ● Support engineering post-launch ● Collaborate with cross functional teams ● Ensure compliance to the company's Product Development and design control requirements [Hybrid] Medical Device Manufacturing Design Engineer Qualifications: ● B.S. Degree in Engineering required ● 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience required ● 3+ years of mechanical design and analysis experience required ● 3+ years of experience using SolidWorks or similar CAD software required ● Experience in the life sciences or medical device industry required
