You will be responsible for planning, organizing, staffing and directing a group of 200+ volunteers. To be successful in this role, you must have a solid background in volunteer services. Director of Volunteer Responsibilities • Plan, organize and direct a volunteer program • Recruit, select and train volunteers • Develop goals that are compatible with the mission and resources • Provide orientation, education programs, and performance monitoring systems • Develop a good working relationship with other departments to ensure that volunteer services can meet the needs of the organization • Manage volunteers to assure proper delegation and follow-up • Meet with volunteers to identify and improve areas • Make written and oral reports regarding the operation of the volunteer program • Maintain good public relations with the community in order to promote interest in the program Director of Volunteer Qualifications • 5+ years of volunteer services experience required • Healthcare industry experience preferred • Bachelor’s degree preferred
