Our client, a boutique firm specializing in a variety of complex commercial litigation issues, is looking for an Associate Attorney to join them in Oakland County, MI. You will be responsible for supporting cases from beginning to end including taking depositions, preparing motions, and serving as a second chair during trials. Because of the nature of their cases, a background primarily in insurance defense would not be a good fit. Although they are a smaller firm, they go up against the biggest players in town so you will have exposure to a variety of cases with opportunities to go to trial. Aside from a background in business/commercial litigation and exceptional writing skills, our client is looking for the right culture fit. Most of their partners have come from bigger firms and made a conscious decision to cultivate and nurture a different type of environment.
