Accounting Specialist

Our client, a nonprofit community services organization in Chicago, IL, is looking for an Accounting Specialist to add to their team. You will be responsible for critical functions related to vouchers and invoices for contracts the agency has with government agencies, helping to ensure all subcontracted partners are in full compliance with contractual fiscal requirements and standards. Our client is looking for an individual with a degree in Accounting/Finance and some experience working with nonprofit organizations (can be internship or volunteer work). To be successful in this role, you should have strong Excel skills and an aptitude for translating financial concepts to colleagues who do not necessarily have a finance background.
